Worm Egg Count
McMaster’s is the method in which faeces are tested to check for worm egg counts (WEC) and numbers of coccidial oocysts. Coccidial oocyst counts are generally carried out in birds in rear. If carrying out the WEC the oocyst count will automatically be carried out at the same time and vice versa.
St David’s Laboratory at Nutwell Estate can carry out this testing.
